People Had a Lot of Feelings About the New York Post's Jennifer Aniston Cover

Despite the fact that Jennifer Aniston has made it very clear that she's moved on from her relationship with Brad Pitt, quite a few of her fans are still struggling to let it go 12 years later.
After news broke that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce from Pitt over "irreconcilable differences" on Monday, the internet erupted in a frenzy of jokes implying that Aniston must be over the moon with joy from seeing her ex's suffering. Joining in on the narrative, the New York Post used a photo of Aniston laughing hysterically for their Wednesday cover, along with the the text, "Brangelina, 2004-2016."
While the New York Post has put out its fair share of controversial covers over the years, this one seemed to strike a chord with fans of all parties involved, and many voiced their opinion that the publication had taken things too far.

@nypost Gross.... This isn't who Jennifer Aniston is. She wouldn't approve of this.

@nypost @PageSix Why insert Aniston into these people's pain. So cruel! Aniston & her husband are busy building a life of their own.

.@nypost Cover is not clever or funny. A family is breaking up. There are children involved. Show some compassion.

@nypost This is so utterly childish. She has absolutely NOTHING to do with this & YEARS have gone by.
